Why choose a MAEZ awareness course?
On-demand, competency-based training that keeps pace with legislation
MAEZ Chain of Responsibility awareness courses are designed for individuals and teams across the Australian transport supply chain. Wherever you are and whatever time it is, you can immerse your people in practical, role-relevant CoR training.
Key features of every MAEZ awareness course:
- Industry compliant — content reflects current HVNL and CoR obligations.
- Competency based — participants are assessed and records are kept.
- Visually engaging — built on a tailored interactive platform, not static slideshows.
- On demand 24/7 — access training when it suits your operation.
If legislation changes or awareness priorities shift, MAEZ updates the course content at a moment's notice so your team stays current.
Training is targeted to every role that influences the Chain of Responsibility — from executives to loaders, schedulers to administrators. For a broader look at how CoR obligations work in practice, see About Chain of Responsibility.
Meet the principal educator
Senior logistics experience paired with adult education qualifications
MAEZ Director and Principal Educator Matthew Wragg brings years of senior management experience from major Australian blue-chip companies including CSR, Linfox, Salmat, and Harris Scarfe.
Matthew holds a Master's degree in Logistics Management from Sydney University and a Certificate IV in Adult Education. This combination allows him to balance a careful consideration of safety needs within a transport environment with the commercial realities operators face every day.
That dual perspective — safety rigour and commercial pragmatism — shapes every MAEZ awareness course so that participants walk away with knowledge they can apply on the floor, not just theory.
Executive and body corporate awareness course
For leaders with budget responsibility and due-diligence duties
This course targets any person in a business with a transport function who also carries budget responsibility. It is designed to help executives understand whether their safety system is actually working — a core element of Chain of Responsibility due diligence.
Typical roles include:
- Board members
- CEO, COO, CFO
- Logistics managers
- Safety managers
- Manufacturing managers
- Plant managers
The content focuses on executive-level obligations: understanding corporate culture's role in compliance, ensuring the SMS is resourced and reviewed, and knowing what evidence regulators expect. For a deeper dive on executive and manager obligations, see Chain of Responsibility Training for Executives and Managers.
Loading manager, loader & packer awareness course
Practical controls for the people who influence load safety
This course is for anyone whose work directly influences a transport loading function. Loading controls need evidence, not assumptions — and this course equips participants to understand their role within the broader CoR framework.
Typical roles include:
- Loading managers
- Loaders
- Packers
- Forklift drivers
- Outbound teams and managers
- Inbound teams and managers
Participants learn how loading decisions connect back to mass, dimension, loading, and speed duties under the HVNL, and what records and checks demonstrate compliance.
Other role-based CoR awareness courses
Targeted training for schedulers and administrators
MAEZ offers additional awareness courses for roles that indirectly or administratively influence the transport task:
Business administrator awareness course
For staff who may indirectly schedule a transport task in an administrative capacity — ensuring they understand how everyday decisions create CoR exposure.
Transport task scheduler awareness course
For anyone who schedules or influences the scheduling of a transport task within the organisation. Schedulers sit at a critical control point: their decisions around time slots, routes, and deadlines can either support safe practices or create unsafe transport pressure.
Each course is competency based, with assessments and accessible records. To explore full training options, visit Chain of Responsibility training.
Group training packages
Tailored options for teams and businesses
MAEZ caters to groups as well as individuals. Whether you need a single awareness course for a small team or a full suite of role-based modules across your operation, MAEZ can build a package to suit your needs.
To discuss group training options, contact MAEZ and ask about available packages for your team.
Operational message set
Find the gaps. Fix the system. Prove the controls.
MAEZ helps transport operators deal with the compliance risk they already know is there. We help get the Safety Management System in order, protect NHVAS accreditation, reduce fine exposure, and connect training, evidence, and CoRGuard workflows where software is needed.
Find
Identify what is exposed before an auditor or regulator does.
Fix
Build the SMS controls around how the transport business actually runs.
Prove
Use CoRGuard where records, reminders, diaries, audits, and evidence need structure.
Evidence path
From MAEZ advice to a working Safety Management System
Advisory work should leave a practical implementation trail. These examples show how CoRGuard supports records, fatigue and driver diary checks, maintenance, audits, document control, inductions, corrective actions, and evidence review after MAEZ identifies the gaps.

Training records
Connect training completion from cortraining.com.au to evidence and follow-up.

Driver diary checks
Connect fatigue and driver diary review back to manager visibility.

Corrective actions
Turn audit findings, hazards and incidents into tracked actions.
